Sunday Workout

When something in life upsets you, go work out. And eat clean food. That pretty much sums up my Sunday.

Richmade Gym Regimen 06/02/2013

I went to the gym — stayed for about one and a half hour.

Here is my gym regimen:
10 min stair warmup (my intensity level is not so high yet — work in progress)

Abs
125 ab crunch machine (50-70 lbs)
450 ab crunches

Legs (3 sets below)
10 squats on smith machine (50 lbs)
10 lunges on smith machine each side (50 lbs)
10 dead lifts with barbell (45 lbs)
40 calf raises (no weights)
10 push ups

*Bonus
7 smith machine squats (70 lbs)

As usual, the best part was the postworkout meal! Chicken with onions and peppers with roasted red potato cooked by Richef.

Working Out with My Gym Buddy

I had a great workout session with my gym buddy Amandabot last Saturday! We did a little warm-up and got our strength training on. It’s fun to workout with a friend at the gym — that way we can show each other any new tips we learned. Since we live far away from one another, we ave to plan to have sessions like these…

You Don’t Even Know It… Two hours passed and we got in a good workout and spent some quality time together. 😀

Wednesday Night Workout: Zumba!

I look forward to the middle of the week because I have awesome Zumba classes on Wednesday and Thursday — I always sweat my booty off! And isn’t it fun to workout when you’re actually having a fun party!?

I’m pretty shy in class, but I stayed after a little while to give thanks for an incredible workout and to request a new song/routine for one of my fave Zumba songs — El Teke Teke by Crazy Design!

This song is fast and I know the routine my instructor comes up with is going to be killer!

Can’t wait until she begins to incorporate it into her class! 😀

My post workout meal — this is starting to become my fave time of the day — teriyaki style chicken and veggies with rice. Richef is talented at making delicious meals. How healthy teriyaki sauce is, I dunno… But I LOVE home cooked meals made from the heart. 🙂

Culver City Stairs

I had an awesome workout session with my fitspirational friend, Jess, this past Saturday! We attacked the steps in Culver City — Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook. We did not count the steps, nor did we time ourselves. But we got a nice little outdoor workout in and since we both go to the gym, doing some fitness activity was definitely a nice change in scenery.

I felt pretty lazy, but Jess pushed me and we hiked those stairs not once, not twice, but three times! It’s good to workout with someone who is going to challenge you. I believe when we come back, she may want to go up the stairs five times! o_O

My legs are sore, yet I still look forward to going back!
