Zumba Instructor Training

Well… It finally happened! I have been passionate about Zumba so much that it has lead me to overcome my shyness and sign up for the instructor training. I was always checking the instructor training schedule to see what was close by, but when I saw Gina Grant was teaching — I told my friend Taylor that THAT was the instructor I wanted to be taught by! I mean, she is definitely one of my faves… And she was nothing less than amazing!

Taylor and I signed up to take the full day training course and we graduated (along with the rest of the students who signed up)! Photos from a couple of months ago when we had our training day at WorkΒ Out World in Anaheim, CA:

I have since joined the Zumba Instructor Network (ZIN), created my Zumba website and I am listening to music to gather my playlist (and practicing my routines) in hopes of teaching soon… I hope I can find a job. O_O

Crossover Cable Machine at the Gym

I realized when I worked out with Amandabot that I really like the crossover cable machine at the gym. There are eight stations and many many exercises one can do on the cables — with different handles to adjust what specific muscle groups you want to target.

My usual go-to workouts are the triceps and biceps cable pull downs… I also like the lat pull downs… I like seeing my muscles work in the mirror… o___O Egotistical? I hope not — I believe it motivates me to push a bit harder. πŸ˜€

I do have to switch it up so I will be researching some new exercises to try out from Muscle & Strength’s instructional video library.

I had a great workout session with my gym buddy Amandabot last Saturday! We did a little warm-up and got our strength training on. It’s fun to workout with a friend at the gym — that way we can show each other any new tips we learned. Since we live far away from one another, we ave to plan to have sessions like these…

You Don’t Even Know It… Two hours passed and we got in a good workout and spent some quality time together. πŸ˜€

Wednesday Night Workout: Zumba!

I look forward to the middle of the week because I have awesome Zumba classes on Wednesday and Thursday — I always sweat my booty off! And isn’t it fun to workout when you’re actually having a fun party!?

I’m pretty shy in class, but I stayed after a little while to give thanks for an incredible workout and to request a new song/routine for one of my fave Zumba songs — El Teke Teke by Crazy Design!

This song is fast and I know the routine my instructor comes up with is going to be killer!

Can’t wait until she begins to incorporate it into her class! πŸ˜€

My post workout meal — this is starting to become my fave time of the day — teriyaki style chicken and veggies with rice. Richef is talented at making delicious meals. How healthy teriyaki sauce is, I dunno… But I LOVE home cooked meals made from the heart. πŸ™‚
